Overview
The objective of the programme is to provide learners with core knowledge, understanding and the roles and responsibilities as a media safety and risk management advisor (MSRMA).
The programme covers critical knowledge components that are currently in high demand to support the media in areas of risk management, digital and electronic threats in the 21st century, and what MSRMAs can do to mitigate exposure in the safety and interest of themselves and their clients.
MSRMAs must understand culture and progress their digital capabilities as to conduct themselves to the highest of standards whilst operating as a MSRMA, in any environment.
The programme is aimed at those professionals that may come from a police force, military or security related background. However, the programme is structured to offer that learning, and is open to any background, who may wish to pursue a change of career or pivot to a more unique role.

Course Advisor
The trainer is an experienced media risk management consultant with 34 years of expertise in hostile environments, protection, training, and operations. He has a proven track record in various high-risk media safety roles and has provided security, health, and safety advice to numerous media productions worldwide for CNN, National Geographic, NETFLIX, BBC, Channel 4, Secret Compass, ITN and Thompson Reuters and many independent journalists.

The trainer has expert knowledge in risk mitigation and has advised on risk and threat mitigation strategies during tasks, managing limited budgets effectively, and balancing risk through reports and ground truth.
